A concert benefiting the legal defense of Eric
Volz, the 27-year old American being unjustly held in a Nicaraguan
prison on murder charges, will take place on Wednesday, January 24
at 7:30pm at Belmont University’s Massey Auditorium in Nashville.
The benefit features some of music’s most eclectic artists and
songwriters, including Chely Wright, PHIL
KEAGGY, Ashley Cleveland, Butterfly Boucher, Leigh Nash
(Sixpence None the Richer), Jeremy Lister with Katie Herzig, Kate
York, Charlie Peacock, Sam Ashworth, Phil Madeira, Lalo Davila (and
his Steel Drum Band) and Diana Beach, showcasing eclectic genres
reaching from Nashville to Los Angeles. Tickets are $20 and can be
purchased Belmont Box Office in the Curb Event Center at the door of
Massey Performing Arts Center and area TicketMaster outlets. All
proceeds will be used for the legal fees of Eric Volz.

magazine (Derek Trucks is the
featured cover artist) for a mention of Phil. There is an article on the
history and future of looping, and Phil is mentioned as follows on page 90:
"More commonly, looping is but one trick in a musician's bag, and
guitarists as diverse as Bill Frisell, Phil Keaggy, Trey Anastasio, Paul
Dresher, Steve Morse, David Torn, and Nels Cline have been looping in one
form or another for years. Chet Atkins actually won a Grammy in 1996 for his
recording of "Jam Man", which was created using the looping device of the
same name."

We are now taking pre-orders for "JAMMED!". This CD is a sort
of reincarnation of "Premium Jams", but also very different. For a

Phil is currently working on a new vocal album. The songs primarily are
love songs, and we're hoping to see a release around the fall. This will be
Phil's first vocal album of all original songs since "Inseparable", and he's
very excited about it. More info on this CD coming soon.

"Dream Again" in concert, you can now hear this song whenever you want on a
new Relief Project compilation CD co-produced by Braddigan. It is only

Phil has signed with the TAG Artist Group for distribution.
TAG Distribution is a subsidiary of TAG Artist Group, LLC.
The company was formed in 2004 by industry veteran Dan Huisinga, whose broad
experience includes a recording contract with Warner Bros., and his previous
role of Director of International Sales and Marketing for Provident
Distribution. TAG is a part of his continuing personal mission statement,
"To increase the sales and marketing of Christian music throughout the
world."

Phil will be a part of a tribute album to benefit Wes King, who is currently
undergoing treatment for lymphoma cancer. Phil has recorded the song
"Getting Used to the Darkness". The album will be called "Life Is
Precious". Wes's website is down, but there's a message board where

Director for the many dates Phil will be doing with a band this summer and

We have just redesigned the site, and added a new webshop to give
you more of what you've asked for. There's lots of good things lying ahead
for 2005, including a special re-release of the "Uncle Duke" CD, a new CD of
Phil jams called "Sound Check Loops", and a special Membership Website - all
coming in the near future. We don't have any release dates as of yet, so
just keep checking back here for updates.
