DAWN OF A NEW DAY (from "Glass
Harp: Synergy")
Dawn of a new day, it's going my way,
It's going your way too.
Full of surprises, open your eyes,
You may find a few.
Love is what you give, it must be true.
Give and you'll receive, it's up to you.
Loving the weather, we're here together,
Country life is so good.
Surrounded by flowers, playing for hours,
All our music on wood.
Faith is nothing new, try it and see.
See what it can do, what you can be.

DAY BEFORE TOMORROW (from the "Morning
Tapestry" collection)
It's the day before tomorrow,
And tomorrow may not come,
So I'll make the most of all that's in today.
It's the day before tomorrow,
And it's all the time I have
To be washed of all regrets of yesterday.
Strengthen me to use the time
That sin would steal away.
Give me wisdom for today,
All I want is Your will for me
Not a thought what the future brings.
It's the day before tomorrow,
And tomorrow may not come.
So I'll make the most of all that's in today.
When I need to rest, Lord,
I will find my rest in You.
I'll be still and know that You are God.
It's the day before tomorrow,
And tomorrow may not come.
So I'll make the most of all that's in today.
Yes I'll make the most of all that's in today.

DAYS LIKE YOU (from "Phil
Keaggy")
If I portray myself blessed within,
If I display myself, try to show
I meet the approval of my kind.
If I pretend to have all I need,
It's never intentional, I should have mentioned
I'm not always feeling just fine.
I have days like you,
Stuck in a rut, feeling the blues,
Oh I have days like you,
Just holding my ground.
If I defend myself hastily,
If I recommend myself, call for security
For the renewal of my mind.
There is a greater will to be done
In the name of the Father and of the Son
With all my intentions behind.
I have days like you,
Stuck in the mud, feeling the blues,
And I have days like you,
Just holding my ground.
Life leaves us to choose,
How will we finish, win or lose?
Oh I have days like you,
And these days just come around.
I have days like you,
Stuck in a rut, feeling the blues,
And I have days like you,
Just holding my ground.
Life leaves us to choose,
How will we finish, win or lose?
Oh I have days like you,
And these days just come around.
I have days like you,
Stuck in the mud, feeling the blues,
Oh I have days like you,
Just holding my ground.
And these days just come around.

DEADLINE (from "Underground")
You start work on Monday, putting in a hard day,
Forget your lunch, you're on the run.
You've got time for coffee,
Cause your schedule's awfully
Crazy and you've just begun.
Deadline, got to make that deadline, deadline.
Back to work on Tuesday, can't afford to lose
A minute of your precious time.
Deadline, got to make that deadline, deadline.
It's already Wednesday, you can't even spend
A moment with your tired life.
You got time for business,
But you look suspicious
To your kids and your own wife.
Deadline, got to make that deadline, deadline.
Can't believe it's Thursday,
Got to be your worst day,
You've got too much on your mind.
That deadline, will you make your deadline, deadline.
I see you pay your dues, you say you hate to lose
Your job and yet you choose to go under.
The boss is crackin down, the walls are spinnin round,
Get on your feet before he starts to wonder.
Friday you're depleted, finally completed
All the work you were assigned.
Deadline, so you made your deadline.

D.E.B.R.A. (from "Backroom Trax 3")
Wake up little Debra, the morning sun is in your hair.
There are many treasures hidden within your world everywhere.
And you've been holding on, Debra you've been looking for the reasons.
Longing for the day will be, but only He holds the seasons.
Take heart little Debra the beauty of love won't pass you by.
You will love forever, can you imagine what it will be like.
And you've been holding on, Debra you need someone you can turn to,
Someone who will ever be eternally true to you.
And you've been holding on, Debra you need someone you can turn to,
And I will be what I can be within your reach
But only He can see deep inside you.
Wake up little Debra, the morning sun is in your hair.
There are many treasures hidden within your world everywhere.
And you've been holding on, Debra you've been looking for the reasons.
Longing for the day will be, but only He holds the seasons.

THE DESERT SONG (unreleased demo)
You've remained in this position for a long, long time.
Freedom comes on one condition, that you change your mind.
Would you turn around and follow me and leave your past behind?
Let me bring you to a land where milk and honey you can find.
I hold the wind in the palm of my hand,
Everything is at my command.
So leave your chains I've told the Pharaoh
Let My people go.
I've taken care of all arrangements,
All you need to know
Is that you are my possession,
And I'm yours forever more,
Let Me bring you to a land where
Living waters ever flow.
I'll make a way through the wilderness,
I'll go before you and give you rest.
So sing a song for your redeemer's
Very close at hand, very close at hand.
Can't run away, we're face to face
With an army in hot pursuit, yeah.
We'll surely die, can You tell us why
Why You brought us to our doom?
Keep your eyes on Me, you will cross the sea,
Just you be silent, I'll bring you victory.
So sing a song for your redeemer's
Very close at hand, very close at hand.
Now you've been wandering in this desert nearly forty years.
Living would be so much better there instead of here.
Are you ready to move on with me and leave behind your fear
As I bring you to that land you can be certain I am here.
I'll make a way through the wilderness,
I'll go before you and give you rest.
So sing a song for your redeemer's
Very close at hand, very close at hand.

DIGITAL MAZE (from "Uncle Duke")
I'm an executive type in an executive craze
Caught up in a web of corporate maze
With a handshake callous and a golfer's thumb
A barstool butt and a digital numb
Coffee breath on a morning commute
Wall Street Journal in a Hilfiger suit
A laptop mentality
Speed dial duality
A number crunching morality
A superficiality
Is this all I can hope for in this world of plurality?
Can I trade in my portfolio for some peace of mind?
Can I ditch the daytimer and try to find
A forgiving face, a positive place
Quit the chase for some lasting grace
Must I always live in a Wall Street world?
Between the bear and the bull, just shouting words
Does my life exist on a trader's whim
Up again, down again, on a margin so slim?
A laptop mentality
Speed dial duality
A number crunching morality
A superficiality
Is this all I can hope for in this world of plurality?
I want a mate that's a keeper, not a digital beeper
A laugh that's hardy, not a tailgate party
I want to shout and sing, hear the church bells ring
Speak honest words that aren't part of a sting
Can I trade in my Lexus for a flatbed truck
Can I walk in the waves, get out of the muck
Can I jam with the band and enjoy the sound
Play on a swing or a merry-go-round
A laptop mentality
Speed dial duality
A number crunching morality
A superficiality
Is this all I can hope for in this world of plurality?
Just to close the door on the trading floor
The strength to shout, "I won't take it anymore"
Can I live on a farm without a satellite dish
Loaf by a stream and pretend to fish
A laptop mentality
Speed dial duality
A number crunching morality
A superficiality
Is this all I can hope for in this world of plurality?
Now take a deep breath, don't try to recall
This is my day, gotta give it my all
Wake with the sun, live a day at a time
Feel the warmth, feel the shine
Thank the Lord above for this event
I'm a believer and I don't owe rent
I'm a believer, I'm a believer, I'm a believer,
And I don't owe rent
Stopped by the church, I fell to my knees
I said, "Lord have mercy" and you gave me peace
Now I'm a believer, I'm a believer, I'm a believer
Lord you gave me peace
No longer a prisoner of the executive craze
Free at last from the digital maze.

DISAPPOINTMENT (from "Love Broke Thru")
Disappointment - His appointment,
Change one letter, then I see
That the thwarting of my purpose
Is God's better choice for me.
His appointment must be blessing
Though it may come in disguise
For the end from the beginning,
Open to His wisdom lies.
Disappointment - His appointment
Whose? The Lord's who loves best.
Understands and knows me fully,
Who my faith and love would test.
For like loving, earthy parent
He rejoices when He knows
That His child accepts unquestioned
All that from His wisdom flows.
Disappointment - His appointment
No good thing will he withhold
From denials oft we gather
Treasures from His love untold.
Well, He knows each broken purpose
Leads to fuller deeper trust
And the end of all His dealings
Proves our God is wise and just.
Disappointment - His appointment
Lord I take it then as such,
Like the clay in hands of potter
Yielding wholly to Thy touch
All my life's plan is Thy molding
Not one single choice be mine
Let me answer unrepining,
Father not my will but Thine.

DOIN' NOTHIN' (from "Crimson and Blue")
I hear your artificial laugh track, comedy in riddle,
Making light of a grave situation.
Sitcom let me go, I'd rather hear the radio
And listen to my favorite station.
And all around the world,
Satellite beaming bright out into the starry night,
But you're sending nothing good enough to view,
And you're saying nothing worth listening to.
You're doing nothing except for what profits you,
Doing nothing at all.
You got your big stars, and your little stars,
And your I wanna be a film star,
Glamorizing your sweet intentions.
No morality, you got your own philosophy,
But it's just a greedy invention.
And all around the world,
Satellite beaming bright out into the starry night,
But you're sending nothing good enough to view,
And you're saying nothing worth listening to.
You're doing nothing except for what profits you,
Doing nothing at all.
You got a panoramic view of the ocean from your villa,
Living high off your latest production.
Meanwhile little good
Seems to come from Hollywood
Where they shoot another seduction.
And all around the world,
Satellite beaming bright out into the starry night,
But you're sending nothing good enough to view,
And you're saying nothing worth listening to.
You're doing nothing except for what profits you,
Doing nothing at all.

DON'T LET GO OF MY HEART (from "True
Believer")
All alone in the cold-hearted night, I was fading fast.
You came to me in a whole new way and it came to pass.
I can't believe You opened up the way,
With tears now, I ask
Don't let go of my heart,
Don't ever leave me here too long in isolation.
Don't let go of my heart,
I do believe You're here, to offer consolation.
There were signs all along the road
And throughout my life.
Gentle reminders of the way I should go,
And You were by my side.
Oh let me see what I long to behold, open my eyes.
Don't let go of my heart,
Don't ever leave me here too long in isolation.
Don't let go of my heart,
I do believe You're here, securing my salvation.
The dawn of light is nearing,
The night is disappearing,
I'm looking through the clearing
Waiting to embrace You.
Don't let go of my heart,
For You are with me here,
I know You'll leave me never,
Don't let go of my heart,
You are my guiding light,
Forever and forever.

DON'T PASS ME BY (from "Crimson and Blue")
Dusty roads, calloused feet,
The sun beats upon their heads.
They feel the pain, they touch the earth,
Embrace the sick in their beds.
A child lies in agony,
Her mama's none left to spare,
When open mouths anticipate
A little bit of milk from anywhere.
And across the landscape will be drawn a painting of true humanity.
Don't pass me by, the night's so long,
Don't ask me why it all went wrong.
Our human need is crying out
As greed eats to the marrow.
Do we ignore a suffering world just
To keep to the straight and narrow.
We turn aside to please ourselves,
And won't give the time of day,
To the victims of injustice in a world
When we turn and look and walk the other way.
And justifying ourselves we ask, is this my neighbor?
Don't pass me by, the night's so long,
Don't ask me why it all went wrong.
But I believe that we could change
At least the world of just one life.
True love has a different face,
No place for condescending pride.
That's how it really ought to be,
Giving ourselves to those in need,
That's how it really ought to be.
Don't pass me by, the night's so long,
Don't ask me why it all went wrong.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE
(from "Uncle Duke")
Call it misfortune, call it good luck
The day I inherited my two-headed duck
A gifted bird with personality plus
She could speak, she could sing, and occasionally cuss
I named her Sara and Clara because I had heard
Two names were required for a double-billed bird
Sara and Clara often talked to each other
They would whistle and yodel and occasionally stutter
They argued on occasion and was prone to fuss
Over dresses, shoes, the usual stuff
Their delicate hats were of personal taste
Selected most carefully, never in haste
Musical talents ran in opposite directions
It was difficult to agree on harmonius selections
Sara liked western, Clara sang rock
Singing together put their body in shock
Swimming came natural, though motion was slow
They could never decide what direction to go
The eggs that they laid were carefully selected
By instinct, of course, and were doubly protected
The ducklings, when hatched, lined up with their mother
Half on one side and half on the other
They chose up sides when they learned to skate
Clara's team had much more speed at the gate
Sara's team was born to rumble
Their aggressive play was far from humble
At the end of the season Clara's team had the luck
They wre soon to be known as the "Mighty Ducks"
But Sara's family had their own share of fame
Perhaps you know them as the "Toronto Flames"
During the season mothers could never agree
What team to visit, what game to see
So they purchased a hot tub and a big screen set
Watch the games on TV and enjoyed getting wet
The restrict their diets and do calories count
Ever mindful, two bills eat twice the amount

DOWN TO THE WIRE (from "Backroom Trax 3")
There he goes out to the desert
Where he makes a deal.
He's got plans, and no one stands
In his way, a back of steel.
Got to find a fortune, scorching in the desert sun.
Looking out for no one else but number one.
Getting down to the wire,
Getting down to the wire.
Mister merchant, looking urgent,
Merchandising for a score.
Calculating, tabulating,
Investigating for some more.
A calendar of spring and summer,
Autumn, winter for your wall.
Every month a different model,
This one's bound the beat them all.
Getting down to the wire,
Getting down to the wire.
Trading in his old attire for a coat of many colors,
A red carnation, big vacation
Off to see Jamaican shores,
A calendar of spring and summer,
Autumn, winter for your wall.
Every month a different model,
This one's bound the beat them all.
Getting down to the wire,
Getting down to the wire.
Mister merchant, looking urgent,
Merchandising for a score.
Calculating, tabulating,

DUCT TAPE UNIVERSE (from "Uncle
Duke")
I started out believing
The universe was space
That all the solid objects were founded in full grace
I started out believing
That earthworms could not crawl
That music prays, a donkey brays
Dogs have days, a horse has neighs
And everyone has a ball
But it's a duct tape ball
Ooey, gooey, stringy, chewy, mushy kind of ball
Wrapped, flapped, tapped, sapped
Constantly moving, ever oozing
Sticky, stringy, kind of springy
What could be worse? Oh what a curse
I'm a duct tape ball in a duct tape universe
I have a duct tape dog and a duct tape cat
They are tightly wrapped in the fibrous grey
They make no sound, just scratch all day
Hardly moving, always watching
Can't stop cleaning, never grooving
Always grey, duct tape grey
Such a disgrace to lose all grace
Never believing, never giving, never trusting, always lusting
Can't get unwrapped, can't shake the trap
Desperately lost with nothing to say
Stuck to my duct tape grey
But it's a duct tape ball
Ooey, gooey, stringy, chewy, mushy kind of ball
Wrapped, flapped, tapped, sapped
Constantly moving, ever oozing
Sticky, stringy, kind of springy
What could be worse? Oh what a curse
I'm a duct tape ball in a duct tape universe
Give me a sign, give me a day
Give me relief, a small belief
Unwrap my soul, just hand me a goal
Start a small tear, I'll take it from there
Please listen to me as I give you a call
From my duct tape ball
With hope and belief I'll begin to unwind
I'll start to see light, and the sun will shine
I'll shed the grey for the light of day
And all will say it's ok to pray
With a belief in God I'll get the nod
To unwrap my ball - my duct tape ball
In a duct tape universe
Give me a hand, let me hear the band
Give me a smile, please stay a while
Show me the way, I'm willing to pray
Show me the goal and release my soul
Let your light shine through the fibrous maze
Remove the wrap, remove the haze
Let me out of this stall in my duct tape ball
Set me free, lift my heart, give to me a fresh new start
In my duct tape world
In this duct tape universe
But it's a duct tape ball
Ooey, gooey, stringy, chewy, mushy kind of ball
Wrapped, flapped, tapped, sapped
Constantly moving, ever oozing
Sticky, stringy, kind of springy
What could be worse? Oh what a curse
I'm a duct tape ball in a duct tape universe
I'm a duct tape ball in a wound-up universe
I'm a duct tape ball in a wounded universe
I'm a duct tape ball in a duct tape universe

EMPTY PLAYGROUNDS (unreleased demo)
I sit across from a playground,
I visit it today with a small child
I know such places where children play.
But sadly there's none of them here today
Empty playgrounds all around,
Playful children not to be found
Heal me of this broken heart,
Lord give me brand new start,
And help me to do my part for them.
Angels I pray will protect them,
Carry them home as You let them
Run freely with joy, secure and safe.
With no memory of this hurting place.
Empty playgrounds all around,
Playful children not to be found
Heal me of this broken heart,
Lord give me brand new start,
And help me to do my part for them.
And every time I see an empty playground
Your's will be full of children who have a home
In Your Presence, Lord, and near Your throne.
Radiant faces unashamed and whole again,
I feel now I am one with them because of mercy.
Father, You gave us your only Son,
He shed His blood for everyone.
Forgive us, oh Lord these sins today
And for those of the past, wipe them away.
Empty playgrounds all around,
Playful children not to be found
Heal them of their broken hearts,
Give them each a brand new start,
And help us to do our part for them.
And every time I see an empty playground
Your's will be full of children who have a home
In Your Presence, Lord, and near Your throne.
Radiant faces unashamed and whole again,
I feel now I am one with them because of mercy.
And every time I see an empty playground

I feel now I am one with them because of Your mercy.

Oh yeah!

Endless life, endless life.
Oh yeah!
He's the king of peace,
He died for us all
But He lives for us all
Making inner sanction for us all
The power for an endless life

EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT (from
"Sunday's Child")
Just when I can see light
At the end of my pipe dreams
Something's not the way it seems
It can pull me under overnight
And all the dreamers in this town
Wake up to lay their sweet dreams down
Everything is alright
That's the way it goes babe
Everything is alright
We'll cope and keep close babe
Everything is alright
Just when I could touch clouds
There is rain on my fingertips
A personal apocalypse
In a land where such is not allowed
Do all the riders in these ruts
Break down and give the good things up
Everything is alright
What will be will be babe
Everything is alright
When it's only you and me babe
Imagination and the name of the game
Everything is changing but the sound of your name
And all the dreamers in this town
Wake up to lay their sweet dreams down
Everything is alright
That's the way it goes babe
Everything is alright
We'll cope and keep close babe
Everything is alright
What will be will be babe
Everything is alright
When it's only you and me babe

EVERYWHERE I LOOK (from "Crimson and
Blue")
Far beyond what eyes behold
There are places yet to be discovered.
Stories as of yet untold
Til their faces have become uncovered.
Everywhere I look You are.
Deep and wide, near and far.
Out beyond the furthest star,
Even then there you are.
Hidden deep within my heart
There are secrets yet to see the daylight.
Unseen in the falling dark
You are present even in my midnight.
Everywhere I look You are.
Deep and wide, near and far.
Out beyond the furthest star,
Even then there you are.

FATHER (unreleased demo)
Father, you promised mankind,
You gave your word there'd be a Savior coming.
He came, the fullness of time
Revealed the long awaited favor of your love,
And there is no love quite like yours.
Jesus, You are the promise,
You are the bright and morning star in my life,
You came to live among us
While You were found there lying in a manger,
You were a stranger to this cold world.
Yet to those who receive You,
And to those who believe in You,
You gave the right to be the children of God
And the heirs of Eternity,
Oh Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Prince of Peace.
Father, the Holy Spirit conceived the child
Within the womb of Mary.
Your will, she didn't fear it but she delighted in
Your perfect Wisdom for there's
No wisdom quite like Yours.
Yet to those who receive You,
And to those who believe in You,
You gave the right to be the children of God
And the heirs of Eternity,
Oh Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Prince of Peace.

FATHER - DAUGHTER HARMONY (from "Way Back
Home" - rerelease)
Of all the dreams that I have had
There is one I share with you,
A better world where there is no sadness or pain.
A place where we can be a loving family,
Of every race, of every land at peace.
I only know that I love you,
And yes, it's true you feel the same.
Why can it be for everyone of us
Who walk this earth of men, women, and children,
When will this dream of mine come true.
As I love you, and you love me,
Together we make a father-daughter harmony.
There is always hope and love right here.
As I love you, and you love me,
Together we make a father-daughter harmony.
Side by side we will always be,
Side by side in harmony.
When I think of those without love
Within this hurting world.
It makes me sad to think of all their pain.
We need to stop the hate
Because it's getting late,
Tear down the wall and let us all walk through.
As I love you, and you love me,
Together we make a father-daughter harmony.
There is always hope and love right here.
As I love you, and you love me,
Together we make a father-daughter harmony.
Side by side we will always be,
Side by side in harmony.

FINAL DAY (from "Find Me In These Fields")
There's a thing they say in our town,
If it happens once it'll come around again.
Never in the same place, again.
Never with the same face, again.
Can you feel the movement like an earthquake.
And the heavens tremble
As we do the shake again.
Never get the message, again.
We memorize the passage, listen
Who'll play the pipes, sound the trumpets loud,
Turn the amps on high, bring it to the crowd.
Let the people know, put it in a song,
Here comes the final day and it won't be long.
Wake up, get up, stand up, catch up again.
Writing's on the wall, again.
Can you hear the call, listen.
Who'll play the pipes, sound the trumpets loud,
Turn the amps on high, bring it to the crowd.
Let the people know, put it in a song,
Here comes the final day and it won't be long.

FIND ME IN THESE FIELDS (from "Find Me In These
Fields")
Find me in these fields alone,
Crusted with the salt of my ways,
Rinse me with the motion of sweet water,
The silky rush of Your cleansing stream.
I turn my face towards the sun
Too feel the heat and cool wind blow.
Reminding me as I touch your shoulder
Awakening me from some selfish dream.
I face the fog in the Autumn,
The midnight moon weaving her chain.
You trace me deep in this valley
Repeating a familiar refrain, forgive me.
When my heart turns cold and I chased the old
Standard lie, forgive me.
When my conscious calls me to leave it behind,
Well did I, forgive me.
Take me in I'll sit at Your feet,
Live to tell all You have done,
Could I find a rose in mid-December,
A sign of peace for those passing by.
I turn my eyes toward the Son,
And a vision of a world yet to be,
When hope will be awarded living substance
And Heaven kisses Earth in reply.

FROM
THE BEGINNING (from "Inseparable")
Don't you know? Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the Beginning?
Be exalted Oh God above the heavens,
And let your glory be over all the earth.
Be exalted Oh God above the heavens,
And let your glory be over all the earth.
Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth.
He stretches out The Heavens
Like a canopy and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
Lift up your eyes.
He who brings out the starry host
One by one, one by one, one by one,
And calls them each by name, each by name,
One by one, one by one, one by one.
Be exalted Oh God above the Heavens,
And let your Glory be over all the earth.
Be exalted Oh God above the Heavens,
And let your glory be over all the earth.
Don't you know? Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the beginning?
From the beginning, from the beginning?

from Isaiah 40:21-22,26 & Ps.108:5

FULL CIRCLE (from "Town to Town")
Looking back I can say
That I'm glad I've come this way.
There's no doubt that I've got more
Than I've ever had before.
You took my hand and led me
Out of darkness, oh yes.
Full circle, I have come,
You can ask me where I come from
And when I tell you that it's no lie
I've come full circle in my life.
I could hear your records play
Around the world and in the States.
And those days were like a dream,
At times you're up then down it seems.
Will this last, what will be
My life tomorrow, oh no.
Full circle, I have come,
You can ask me where I come from
And when I tell you that it's no lie
I've come full circle in my life.
With one touch of His hand
I was made a newborn man.
What I had gained I left behind
It's drifting further back in time, bye bye.
You took my hand and led me
Out of darkness, oh yes.
Full circle, I have come,
You can ask me where I come from
And when I tell you that it's no lie
I've come full circle in my life.

GARDEN (from "Glass Harp")
In the court of rose and lily,
I see your face appear.
And though the night is chilly,
I wait for you to be near.
The dreams and schemes of all mankind
Have all been laid to waste.
But in the garden you can find
A love we both can taste.
To see and believe I believe in you,
And all of the things you set out to do,
To think and to feel what you want me to,
And hoping our dreams will see us through.
The night is not forever,
The sun will rise again.
But when the night surrenders,
The morrow will be our friend.
To see and believe I believe in you,
And all of the things you set out to do,
To think and to feel what you want me to,
And hoping our dreams will see us through.

GENTLE AND STRONG (from "Find Me In
These Fields")
Waking up to hear a little boy's
Voice in the morning,
Little footsteps brush across the floor,
And you open the door.
Just beneath my gaze I see your face.
Just like clockwork you reach
Towards my glass of water
Upon the night stand, and carefully
You hand it up to me.
I'll be by your side, father and son,
And in time you'll understand
When you grow up to be a man, Ian.
Gentle and strong,
Believe in the words, your song.
Gentle and strong,
Believe in the words, your song.
I want to know you, want to show you I care.
And I want to lead you, want to be your friend.
Gentle and strong,
Believe in the words, your song.
Gentle and strong,
Believe in the words, your song.
I want to know you, want to show you I care.
And I want to lead you, want to be your friend.

GENTLE EYES (from "Emerging")
At a time, you need to find a friend in me,
Someone to lean on to.
And when you feel inclined to speak your mind
To one so near, someone to hear you through,
That's when I'll be there, to give you tender care,
A gentle word, a song to sing with you, a feeling shared.
Gentle is the dew, and precious are the few sweet moments
We've been alone together afternoons.
I've got gentle eyes for you, you, you.
As a friend, I long to spend more time with you,
When I'm with you we grow.
Closer together, blessed as pure,
Now rest secure in what He's done,
What He's begun to do.
That's why I am here, in love I now endear
You to myself, there's nothing else
Around that you should fear.
Gentle is the dew, and precious are the few sweet moments
We've been alone together afternoons.
I've got gentle eyes for you, you, you.

GET OVER IT (from "Find Me In These
Fields")
A sure thing matters don't you leave it behind,
But you've been working on the white line.
Get over it, get over it.
Too many people got you climbing the wall,
Watch where you land cause you're gonna fall
Or get over it, get over it.
Lifeless colors, wilted flowers,
You've been sitting there for hours,
Go, get up and go.
Greener is the grass on the other side,
Straddling the fence, can't make up your mind.
Get over it, get over it.
Fading colors, plastic flowers
You've been dreaming there for hours
Go, go, go......
Brilliant colors, endless flowers
You can see the place where others go, go, go......

GETTING CLOSER (from "Getting
Closer")
The time has come, be ready
Has anyone been forgetting
We are traveling to a different world,
A different setting.
Do you have dreams of paradise?
You'll see the King with your own eyes.
I'm no fool for believing in You
And I'll tell the whole world now.
Cause I'm forgiven and I'm gonna be livin
For eternity with You now.
We are traveling to...that's right.
We're going to Heaven and before you
Count seven Home is coming into view now.
Do you have dreams of paradise?
You'll see the King with your own eyes.
Going there, we're going there,
We're getting closer then we're there.
The time has come, be ready
Has anyone been forgetting
We are traveling to a different world,
A different setting.
Do you have dreams of paradise?
You'll see the King with your own eyes.
Going there, we're going there,
We're getting closer then we're there.

GIFT OF LOVE (unreleased demo)
Listen to this song!
I don't need fire to keep me warm,
I don't need cover to shelter the storm.
All I need has come from above,
It came on the day God gave me your love.
When the rain pours down, you keep my dry,
When things go wrong, you make them right.
My greatest gift has come from above,
It came on the day God gave me your love.
In the darkest hour I have no fear,
For in my heart I hold you near.
And the stars that shine in the skies above
Became a little brighter
When He gave me your love.
In the darkest hour we have no fear,
For in our hearts we know He's here.
And the starts that shine in the skies above
Became a little brighter
When He gave us His love.
We may go through some ups and downs,
But our love will always come around
And see us through the times so rough
For you see that God gave us His love,
Yes you see that God gave us His love.
I don't need fire to keep me warm,
I don't need cover to shelter the storm.
All I need has come from above,
It came on the day God gave me your love.

GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN (from the "Our
Christmas" collection)
God rest ye merry gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas day.
To save us all from Satan's power
When we're gone astray,
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.
From God, our Heavenly Father
A blessed angel came.
And unto certain shepherd
Brought tidings of the same.
How that in Bethlehem was born
A Son of God by name,
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

GONNA KEEP MY MIND STAYED ON YOU (from
"Backroom Trax 3")
Life is not just making that money
It don't matter what you possess
Have you ever noticed that money
Can grow things like wings
And like the sun disappear in silhouettes.
But I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You
I'm not gonna let anything block my view.
I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You.
I'm not one for fussing and fighting
Keep on loving, doing my best
I've found life is really exciting
And that goes to show I really don't
Ever need to be depressed.
But I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You
I'm not gonna let anything block my view.
I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You.
When my world came crumbling down
Like castles made of sand.
You came gently and helped me to understand.
All along You were there,
You gave me eyes to see.
I came empty and You poured love in to me.
Everyone has known some confusion.
It don't matter who you might be.
What I found is not an illusion,
It's for real and He'll be with me now
And throughout eternity.
I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You
I'm not gonna let anything block my view.
I'm gonna keep my mind stayed on You.

THE GOOD NEWS (from "Backroom Trax 3")
Do you know what the gospel is,
The gospel means good news.
Good news for you, and you my friend,
So listen and don't refuse.
Just listen to His Word, to His Word
And you'll see that Jesus Christ came
To make you free.
There was a child named Jesus
Born of Virgin birth
In the city of David, though His home
Was not of this world.
His goings forth are from long ago,
From the days of eternity
He came as the light into the world
Through Him all men might see.
The spirit of the Lord was upon Him,
And He preached the good news to the poor.
He said blessed are you poor in spirit,
For the Kingdom of Heaven is yours.
Do you see your need for Him as I did,
Do you see that Jesus Christ came
To make you free?
He healed the sick and he raised the dead,
And set free those who were oppressed.
He said come to me all who are weary,
And I will give you rest.
He spoke of Heaven and He spoke of Hell,
And He urged all men to repent.
To give His live as a ransom for all
Was the reason He was sent.
But He was despised and forsaken of man,
A man of sorrow and grief.
Fulfilling the words that were spoken of Him,
They pierced His hands and His feet.
On the cross He died for them, died for you,
Died for me, Jesus Christ died to set us free.
And so this is the good news for you,
That Jesus Christ can save.
The power of death couldn't hold my Lord,
He rose from the grave.
And He is alive for evermore
And forever is able to save.
Those who draw near to God through Him,
He's the life the truth and the way.

THE GREATEST DISCOVERY (from the
"Our Family" collection)
Peering out of tiny eyes,
The grubby hands that grip the rail,
Wipe the window clean of frost
As the morning air laid on the latch.
Whistle awaken someone there,
Next door to the nursery just down the hall.
A strange new sound you never heard before,
A strange new sound that makes boys explore.
Tread neath so small those little feet,
Amid the morning a small heart beats,
So much excitement yesterday
Must be rewarded, must be displayed.
Large hands lift him through the air,
Excited eyes contain him there
The eyes of those he loves and knows,
But what's this extra bed just here.
His puzzled head tipped to one side,
Amazement swims in those bright green eyes,
Glancing down upon this thing that makes
Strange sounds, strange sounds that sing.
In those silent happy seconds that
Surround the sound of this event,
A parent's smile is made in moments,
They have made for you a friend
And all you ever learned from them
Until you grew much older,
Did not compare with when they said
This is your brand new brother
This is your brand new brother.
This is your brand new brother.
